About the project
At Sala Parés, Spain’s oldest art gallery, we designed a dinner for 13 guests built around five works from the collection: five pieces, five dishes and a bespoke pairing for each one.
The journey opened with a Reus vermouth with arbequina olive oil pearls, a nod to 1840, the year the gallery was founded, and continued with dishes featuring portraits drawn on the porcelain and a bite served on J. Parés, Estampería y Marcos labels.
Sala Parés’ art director and oríGenes’ culinary director accompanied the guests throughout the dinner, presenting each work alongside the dish it had inspired. A live pianist set the soundtrack for the evening.
Here we applied the same way of working we bring to every project: the story, the culinary proposal and pairing, the staging in the gallery itself, the music and atmosphere, and the welcome of every guest.
Art and gastronomy, telling the same story.
